Use
In this IMG activity, you specify the agent determination for the first step of the workflow template. This is the workflow template with which administrators, after receiving an XI message, then receive the work items for selecting and starting the process. In this first step, the administrator chooses the process he or she wants from several possible processes for the inbound XI message.
Requirements
Standard settings
The standard system contains rule 17900021 (Select Process for XI Data - ASRSelProc). In this rule, you specify agents based on responsibilities. The container element PROCESS_GROUP is available for differentiating between the responsibilities. Values are not already defined for the rule in the standard system.
For more information on agent determination, see the SAP Library. Choose HR Administrative Services -> HCM Processes and Forms -> Business Workflow for HCM Processes and Forms -> Technical Basics for Business Workflow for HCM Processes and Forms. Also see Settings for SAP Components and Workflows.
Activities
Proceed as follows to set up a rule for agent determination:
Create a responsibility:
Choose Create. The Create Responsibility dialog box appears.
Enter an abbreviation, a name, and the validity period for the responsibility and confirm your entries.
The Change Responsibility for Rule <.....> view appears. In this responsibility editor, all container elements in the rule container are listed.
Enter a single value or a value range for the container elements whose content you want the system to check during rule resolution.
If you want to check several single values or value ranges for one container element, you can create new entry rows. Position the cursor in a row with the container element for which you need a new row, and choose New Row.
If you wish, give the responsibility a priority.
The responsibilities with the highest priority are evaluated first. Responsibilities with lower priorities are only evaluated if this is defined in the rule definition.
Save your entries.
Return to the original dialog window.
Assign users to the responsibility:
Select the responsibility to which you want to assign an Organizational Management object, and choose Agent Assignment.
The Selection dialog box appears.
Select an object type that you want to assign as an agent and choose Continue.
The system requires you to enter a search term and then to create the relationship between the responsibility and the object that you have chosen.
In the overview of the objects, you can also enter a validity period for the relationship.
