In this IMG step, you determine how the employee's Total Compensation Statement (TCS) is to be structured. That is, you determine the categories and subcategories which are to be listed and the order in which they are to appear.

Requirements
You have decided which categories and subcategories are to appear in the Total Compensation Statement.
Standard settings
The following categories appear in the SAP standard delivery for Total Compensation. They contain various subcategories.
- BEN - Benefits
Benefits plans whose payment date is in the selection period - CMP - Other Compensation
Awards whose granting date is in the selection period - PAY - Payment
Salary and bonus which is due in the selection period - PDV - Personnel Development
Individual development plans and education and training whose start date is in the selection period.
Note
You can also define further categories or subcategories in addition to those delivered by SAP, these may be categories/subcategories which you have changed or customer-defined categories. If you wish to do this, create customer-specific categories or subcategories in this step and make the necessary enhancements by carrying out the steps in the Country-Specific Enhancements section.

Activities
Creating Customer-Specific Categories
- Choose New entries.
- Enter a key and a name as well as the necessary data for each category which you want to create.
- Save your entries.
Creating Customer-Specific Subcategories
- Select the category for which you want to create customer-specific subcategories and choose Subcategories.
- The Change "Subcategories" View: Overview" screen appears.
- Choose New entries.
- For each subcategory that you want to create, enter a key and a name, as well as the necessary data.
- Save your entries.
