In this step of the IMG, you can change the attributes of the following screen fields:

  • Career group
  • Case group
  • Case group catalog
  • Maximum FTEs
  • BAT appendix
  • BAT part
  • BAT section/subsection

These fields are used for maintaining and classifying positions and budget structure elements, and the attributes of these fields can be changed using feature PM002 Show Specific Pay Scale Details.

You can specify that, depending on the return value returned by the feature, these fields should be required entry fields, or should be hidden because they are unnecessary.

Example

In the Position: Classification dialog box, you want to hide the Maximum FTEs field, and make the Career groupfield a required entry field.

Activities

  1. Choose Position....
  2. Enter Module pool SAPLRHB3_SPEC and Standard screen 0100.
  3. Choose Continue.

    The system displays the module pool in question.

    As you can see, feature PM002 Show Specific Pay Scale Details is displayed in the first line. This feature controls the screen fields.

    You can also see the return value of this feature in the Variable key column. In the other lines, only the Variable key is displayed - feature PM002 does not appear.

    In the standard system, the Variable key column of the top line contains the return value blank (i.e. it is empty) whereas the same column of the second line contains the return value "X" .

    If you want to change feature PM002, or if you want to look at the documentation for the feature, choose Feature.

    Note: For more information on the feature and on how to maintain it, refer to the documentation for the feature.

  4. To change the attributes of the screen fields, select the line you want to change on the Change View "Infotype Screen Control": Overview screen, and then choose Detail.

    The Change View "Infotype Screen Control": Details screen appears.

  5. On this screen, specify which fields are to be modified.

    Note: Fields that are related to each other are grouped together.

    You can only change these fields collectively.

  6. Choose Save.
