Use

In this IMG activity, you specify which value assignment types are set as default for output in the following output variants supplied with the standard system:

  • VALUATION Properties
  • COMPONENT Composition tree/Ingredients
  • EXCEL Properties with Excel
  • EXCEL-LAB Labeling data with Excel
  • EXCEL-REG Notification status with Excel

This means that the data in these default value assignment types is output when you select one of these default output variants for output in the specification information system and do not change the default settings for the value assignment types. In the specification information system you can create and copy output variants in the group overview of the output variants and also select other value assignment types for output.

You cannot make default settings for the following output variants supplied with the standard system:

  • SUB_OUTPUT Substance output
  • SUBLIST Substance list assignment

For more information about how you select value assignment types for output and how you can use the output variants supplied with the standard system as copy templates, see SAP Library for the Basic Data and Tools component under Specification Information System.

Requirements

In Customizing for General Settings under Check Units of Measurement, check the unit of measurement entries as follows:

  1. On the initial screen for entering units of measurement, select the dimension Proportion in the field next to the Units of measurement function.
  2. Choose Units of measurement.

The overview screen for the dimension Proportion appears.

  3. Make sure that the units of measurement % and 1 exist.

Activities

You make settings for the supplied output variants in environment parameters in Customizing for Basic Data and Tools under Manage User Exits. Note the following here:

Output Variants VALUATION, EXCEL, EXCEL-LAB, or EXCEL-REG

The environment parameters for the output variants VALUATION, EXCEL, EXCEL-LAB, or EXCEL-REG control the output of value assignment types of the category Property. You define the environment parameters for these output variants as follows:

  1. In the IMG activity Manage User Exits, select the line for the user exit category SUB_ISOUT that contains the user exit with the name of the output variant.
  2. Choose Parameters and Values.
  3. Perform one of the following steps:
    • If you want to preset value assignment types, enter the value assignment types as follows:
    • VALCAT01     <Value assignment key>
      VALCAT02     <Value assignment key>
      ...
      VALCAT99     <Value assignment key>
      (Example of <value assignment key>: SAP_EHS_1023_001)
    • If you do not want to preset any value assignment types, do not specify the environment parameters VALCAT01 to VALCAT99. In this case you must choose value assignment types manually in the specification information system before the SAP system can output values for them.

Note:

If you have not specified the environment parameters VALCAT01 to VALCAT99, and if you had chosen value assignment types in the specification workbench using the search function Specification with values assigned, the system automatically selects the value assignment types as a proposal. If necessary, you can deselect these value assignment types and select others.

Additional environment parameters for output with Excel:

If you have chosen the output variants EXCEL, EXCEL-LAB, or EXCEL-REG, in addition you also can use the following environment parameters (in the following, <> TRUE is used for undefined or FALSE):

  • FLG_HIDE_ASSESSMENT
  • = TRUE => Display of column Assessment is suppressed
<> TRUE => Column Assessment is displayed.
  • FLG_HIDE_COMPONENTS (if it can be used for properties)
  • = TRUE => Component data suppressed.
<> TRUE => Component data displayed.
  • FLG_HIDE_SOURCE
  • = TRUE => Display of column Source is suppressed.
<> TRUE => Column Source is displayed.
  • FLG_HIDE_USAGE
  • = TRUE => Display of column Usage is suppressed.
<> TRUE => Column Usage is displayed.
  • FLG_HIDE_USERTEXT
  • = TRUE => Display of column User-defined texts is suppressed.
<> TRUE => Column User-defined texts is displayed.
  • FLG_SHOW_COMPACT_IDS
  • = TRUE => When outputting the components, in addition to the language-
dependent description of the component type, the system
outputs the technical abbreviation of the component type.
<> TRUE => The system only outputs the language-dependent description
    of the component type.
  • FLG_SHOW_USAGE_NAMES (evaluation only if FLG_HIDE_USAGE <> TRUE)
  • = TRUE => To display usage, the system uses the language-dependent
descriptions for rating and validity area.
<> TRUE => To display usage, the system uses the keys for rating and
    validity area.
  • FLG_SHOW_USERTEXT_LONG (evaluation only if FLG_HIDE_USERTEXT <> TRUE)
  • = TRUE => Existing long text of a user-defined text is output.
<> TRUE => Only the first 132 characters of the user-defined text
    are output.
  • PHRASE_OUTPUT_MODE (evaluation for characteristics with phrase set)
  • = CODE => Phrase code is output. If this does not exist, the phrase
    text is output.
= TEXT => Only the phrase text is output
If the parameter is not defined, the system outputs the phrase code and phrase text.
  • IDENT_LIST
  • If the parameter is undefined or has the value D_HITLIST, the first two identifiers of the hit list are output.

Note:

You can specify identification listings in Customizing for Basic Data and Tools under Check Identification Listing.

Output Variant COMPONENT

The environment parameters for the output function COMPONENT control the output of value assignment types of category Composition or Listing.

You specify the environment parameters for this output variant as follows:

  1. In the IMG activity Manage User Exits, select the line for the user exit category SUB_ISOUT that contains the user exit with the name of the output variant.
  2. Choose Parameters and Values.
  3. Perform one of the following steps:
    • If you want to preset a value assignment type (composition or listing), enter it as follows:
    • COMP_VALCAT     <Value assignment key>
    • If you do not want to preset a value assignment type, do not specify the environment parameter COMP_VALCAT. In this case, you must manually select a value assignment type in the specification information system before the SAP system can output values for it.

Note:

If you have not specified the environment parameter COMP_VALCAT, and if you have chosen a value assignment type of the category Composition or Listing using the Specification contains components search function in the specification workbench, the value assignment type is automatically selected as a proposal. If necessary, you can deselect this value assignment type and select another one.

Further notes

For the output functions VALUATION, EXCEL, EXCEL-LAB, and EXCEL-REG, you can define the identification listing with the environment parameters IDENT_LIST. If the environment parameter is not set or the standard listing D_HITLIST is set, the first three identifiers in the hit list are output.

The SAP system uses the identification listing D_VALPOS for the output function COMPONENT.
