Use

In this Customizing activity, you specify the organizational area used to identify the characteristics of technical objects as safety relevant.

This is necessary if you are using SAP BusinessObjects Risk Management as the source of risk information, and you want to use characteristics as dimensions to define the context of a risk. By specifying an organizational area for safety, you ensure that your enterprise asset management (EAM) system and SAP BusinessObjects Risk Management exchange only characteristic values that belong to the specified area.

Requirements

You have created an organizational area for safety for the class types for equipment and functional location in Customizing for Classification under Classes -> Maintain Object Types and Class Types.
