Use

In this Customizing activity, you define filter objects and assign one or morefilters to each filter object.

Requirements

The filters you define are used by the relevant class in at least one outbound implementation, to make them available for subsequent activities. This also enables the filters to be used and activated in the outbound message configuration of a replication model.

Standard settings

In the standard system, Customizing entries exist for filter objects that are used in delivered outbound implementations. You can use these entries directly. The technical key of the filter objects is numeric.

Caution

Do not change or copy the filter objects and filters, or the characteristics of the filter objects and filters that are delivered by SAP. This is due to the strict dependencies that exist between these items and the outbound implementations that use the filter objects.

You can also define your own filter objects. This requires you to program the relevant filter objects in an outbound implementation. For this purpose, the customer namespace Y* to Z* is reserved.

Activities

  1. Define a filter type in the corresponding customer namespace and enter a text (language-dependent) as the description of the relevant filter object.
  2. Assign the relevant implementing class and the corresponding database table, which characterizes the filter object, to the filter object. If you define complex or implicit filters, you must implement the IF_DRF_FILTER interface.
  3. In addition, assign one or multiple filters to the filter object and enter a text as a description for the filter semantics.
