Use
In this IMG activity you can create mini-templates to maintain data for any differentiation key-independent or differentiation key-dependent set types.
First you have to create the mini-templates you require and maintain the appropriate data for them.
In the case of mini-templates based on differentiation key-independent mini-template types, you can maintain your data directly by pressing Add Line to add a new data line. The resulting mini-templates are differentiation key-independent and therefore you can only use them to assign differentiation key-independent data, but not differentiation key-dependent data, to products.
In the case of mini-templates based on differentiation key-dependent mini-template types, you do not maintain any data directly in these mini-templates. Instead, you assign differentiation key-independent mini-templates, for which you have already maintained data, to the corresponding differentiation key-dependent mini-templates, by pressing Add Line to add a new assignment line.
If you want to delete a mini-template, you must delete all the data or assignment lines by pressing Delete Line, and then choose Template -> Delete.
After you have created mini-templates for your set types, you assign these set types to categories in category and hierarchy maintenance, and then you assign the appropriate mini-templates to these set types. This means that you do not assign mini-templates to products directly, but only to product categories.
You have to schedule the report TFW: Mass Distribution of Template Changes so that when there are changes to the mini-templates, the relevant objects can be distributed to the dependent systems (such as SAP BW).
We recommend scheduling the report as a regular job. To ensure that this process runs smoothly, make the setting A Periodic for job scheduling in the view V_TFW_DX_JOB for your application object.
Requirements
You have created set types in transaction COMM_ATTRSET, and activated them for template maintenance by setting the flag Template-Enabled. When you do this, two mini-template types:
- an differentiation key-dependent and
- an differentiation key-independent mini-template type
are generated automatically for each set type.
To be able to create, maintain and delete mini-templates, the system administrator must have given you the appropriate authorization.
