Use

In this IMG activity, you define the override options for messages in user-defined message classes (customer namespace Y*/Z*). You must make these settings before you use message control in Campus Management.

You can set the message type of a message to W or I, or you can suppress a message entirely (message type: "-" ). For example, you can allow users to override the messages which apply to VSR checks or to business add-ins.

The options for overriding SAP messages and the types of overrides allowed for these messages are predefined by SAP.

Activities

  1. Enter the message class.
  2. Assign the numbers of the messages that users should be allowed to override to this message class.
  3. Specify which of these messages may be suppressed, or define for which messages the message type may be changed to W or I.

    To ensure that the system does not output suppressed messages, you must choose the message type "-" for these messages in the rule container object (object type RC) of the Message Control infotype (1749).
