Use
In this IMG activity, you define whether or not it should be possible to define equivalencies for external academic work with a "failed" grade in Equivalency Determination.
In the equivalency determination transaction, you can recognize external academic work and qualifications by defining them as equivalent to internal academic work and qualifications. You can also assign a grade to the internal work.
You can choose between the following system settings in this IMG activity:
- Value "X": It should be possible to define equivalencies for external academic work with a "failed" grade.
You can assign external academic work with a "passed" or "failed" grade to the corresponding internal academic work.
- Value " " (blank): It should not be possible to define equivalencies for external academic work with a "failed" grade.
You may only assign external academic work with a "passed" grade to the corresponding internal academic work.
Activities
In the entry with group ED and setting FAILED_SM, enter the respective value.
Example
A student from a university designated as external organization EXT_ORG_01 in your system transfers to your university. This student took external subject MATH01_EXT (Basic Mathematics) at the external organization, but did not receive a passing grade.
According to the transfer agreement between external organization EXT_ORG_01 and your university, internal module MATH01_INT is recognized as equivalent to external subject MATH01_EXT.
Before you can assign internal module work MATH01_INT to the "failed" external academic work in the Equivalency Determination application, you must set the value "X" in this IMG activity.
