Use

In this IMG activity, you define which application forms can be used to generate printing of ad hoc correspondence in the student file.

You can select the application form in the student file on the Correspondence tab page by choosing the Generate Correspondence pushbutton. There, you can only select those application forms for which the active application form indicator is set in this activity. If you not define an active application form in this IMG activity, no active application form will appear in the student file and you cannot print ad hoc correspondence there.

Requirements

You have activated the following function modules as installation-specific function modules:

  • Function module HRIQ_EVENT_0793 (Generate Single Correspondence (Student File)) for callup point 0793 (Single Correspondence: Assign Data)

    This function module assigns the data for student and admission correspondence. If you require different data for other correspondence types, copy this function module and adjust the copy to your needs.

  • Function module HRIQ_EVENT_0795 (Print Single Correspondence) for callup point 0795 (Single Correspondence: Call Generation)

    This function module calls correspondence generation for student and admission correspondence. If you require correspondence generation for other correspondence types, copy this function module and adjust the copy to your needs.

You adjust function modules in Customizing for Campus Management in the IMG activity Define Customer-Specific Function Modules.

Standard settings

The standard system contains two layouts for Campus Management:

  • 5755 for student correspondence
  • 5754 for admission correspondence

If you want to use these layouts, assign the required callup points to function modules HRIQ_EVENT_0793 and HRIQ_EVENT_0795. These two function modules are contained in the standard system.

Activities

  1. Choose the required application forms.
  2. Assign a correspondence type to each application form.
  3. Choose a layout.

    If you do not specify a layout, you must assign a mass activity type so that the system can choose the layout which is defined for printing of this correspondence type. You define the mass activity type in Customizing for Contract Accounts Receivable and Payable under Prepare Mass Activities.

  4. Sort the application forms, if required.
