In this activity, you set up the required process types.

Process types are elements of the application item category process (0003). You can use process types to start transactions that initiate a specific process (e.g. admission) from within the application.

In the next activity, you assign the process types to the application item category process. You also specify the function module that calls the transaction from within the application.

If you want to set up new process types, you must create these within the customer namespace 9, Y and Z.

Example

ADMIS is the process type for admission.

Standard settings

The SAP standard system contains the process type ADMIS (admission). This process type starts the admission process.

Activities

  1. Choose New entries.
  2. Create the process types you require.

    Note: You must create new process types within the customer namespace 9, Y and Z.

  3. When you have made all the required entries, choose Save.
