In this IMG activity, you define the number ranges for student number assignment.

Define the intervals of the number ranges you want to use.
Further notes
If you want to use numeric student numbers with less than 12 digits, you must define the number range intervals accordingly. This means that if you use 10-digit student numbers to define number ranges, you must use numbers within the 000000000000 - 009999999999 interval. When you create a student, the system checks whether the number range intervals coincide with the student number format.
Changes in number range intervals are not automatically recorded in Customizing as are other changes. Therefore, you must transport any changes you make to number range intervals manually.
To transport changes, go to the Maintain Number Range Intervals screen and choose Interval -> Transport. Note the information appears on the screen when you transport the number range intervals.
