A component can be either visible or hidden. A visible component presents a subscreen that the CIC framework includes in one of its subscreen areas. For example, the Call State component is a visible component, which presents the agents telephony state in a subscreen. The CIC framework has seven subscreen areas. Any visible component can be placed into one of these seven subscreen areas.

Following is a list of visible components and their needed component profiles.

Component     Profile

ACTION_BOX     ACTION_BOX_CONFIGURATION

APPL_AREA    none

BD_DISPLAY    none

CALL_STATE    none

CCONT     COMPCONT_PROF

CSEARCH_DISP     CONTACT_SEARCH_CONFIGURATION

QUICK_KEYS     QUICK_KEYS_CONFIGURATION

SCRIPT_DISP    none

To assign visible components to the framework:

  1. Enter 1-7 in the Position field.
  2. Enter a component name, or choose from the F4 list and choose a variant if applicable (only some components offer alternative variants).
  3. Enter X in Upper Spacer if you want a space on the screen above the component.
  4. Enter X in Lower Spacer if you want a space on the screen below the component.

Recommendation

You should place the visible components which are frequently used in slots on the screen which can be reached without scrolling.
