You use this IMG activity to define document areas. You need to define document areas before you can use the Document Finder. The document area determines which attributes are used for searching in which system.

For more information, see the SAP Library under SAP Web Application Server -> Basis Services -> ArchiveLink -> Finding and Displaying Stored Documents -> Document Finder -> Customizing for the Document Finder.

Requirements

Standard settings

Activities

Enter the following data:

  • Document area

Technical name of the document area (max. 10 characters)

Important note: If you are using a KPRO document area, ensure that you enter the same name that you entered in the customizing activity KPRO links (Indexing). The system creates the link purely based on these identical technical names.

  • RFC destination

RFC destination of the system in which you want to search for documents.

Note: The RFC destination is only relevant if the query class is RFC-compatible.

  • Description

Description that is displayed in the Document Finder.

  • Index category ID

    Not currently relevant.

  • Index search active

    Is currently relevant.

  • Query class

ArchiveLink supplies the following query classes:

    • CL_ALINK_QUERY_DOCLIST
    • CL_ALINK_QUERY_DOCLIST_RFC
    • CL_ALINK_QUERY_PRILIST
    • CL_ALINK_QUERY_KPR
    • CL_ALINK_QUERY_DVS
    • CL_ALINK_QUERY_DVS_RFC
    • CL_ALINK_QUERY
    • For a description of how to use the query classes, see the SAP Library under Customizing for the Document Finder (see above).
  • Display class

The system provides a display class as a standard setting. If you want to use a display class, this must implement the interface IF_ALINK_HITLIST.

  • Full text search active

    X = active, empty = inactive

If the full text search is active, a field is displayed in the Document Finder for entering key words. Prerequisite: The query class supports the full text search.
