In this step, you can delete all the data that belongs to a view. The prerequisite for this is that no other data is dependent on this view. Data that is dependent on views is created when:
- You start a report data memory run
- You trigger the calculation of single records for the result database
- You save results from ALM simulation
When you use this function, the system deletes the definition, the assignments of characteristics, the texts, the Customizing settings, the base portfolios, the data in the base portfolio administration tables, and the definition and content of the portfolio hierarchy.
Activities
- Enter the name of the view that you want to delete.
- Choose Execute.
If there is no dependent data, the view is deleted.
Further notes
The Define View and Change View functions have an integrated data transport function. However, this is not the case for the Delete View function. This means that you should check carefully in which system you are deleting views.
