In this activity you define dynamic notes to field service. Dynamic notes are created at runtime by the program and may not be deleted. The notes are either displayed on a form or downloaded in a file for mobile data entry.

The priority influences the sort sequence of several notes on the form or in the download file. Via the form groups, you can determine valid recipient groups and forms for the notes.

Example

Dynamic note 03 (Device &1 disconnected since &2) is always allocated to a device, has priority 1, and is allocated to form group 0001. The form group is established in the previous IMG activity. It defines the forms on which the note 03 appears.

The dynamic note 03 is supplied with a date for the placeholder & by the program. If several notes are to be displayed on the form or in the download file, the text for note 03 appears before the text for note 04.

Requirements

Standard settings

You are not allowed to change the 0* entries supplied. You can use the following name range: anything but 0* (customer name space).

Recommendation

  • Read the online help (F1) for the field Dynamic note (DN).
  • We recommend using the dynamic notes used by the program and listed in the above-mentioned online help.
  • You cannot define additional dynamic notes because they are generated by the program.

Activities

  1. Allocate the indicators (priority and form group) to the dynamic notes provided.
  2. If you do not allocate form groups to the note, the note will be displayed on all forms or form classes.

Further notes

The variables in the note text (&) are provided with values by the

corresponding program at runtime.
