Use

In this IMG activity you assign a function module, a combination of class and interface component or a combination of BOR object type and BOR method to a combination of object type and method.

The object type and method can both have been supplied by SAP or both have been defined by yourself. It is also possible that the object type was supplied by SAP and the method defined by yourself.

You only have to carry out this IMG activity if the following prerequisites are met:

  • You have defined your own object types and/or methods.
  • The function module or the combination of class and interface component or object type and BOR method that are assigned to the combinations of object type and method supplied by SAP are not sufficient for your requirements.

Requirements

  • If you wish to assign your own BOR object types and BOR methods, you must first have defined them in the Business Object Repository (BOR).
  • If you wish to assign your own function modules, you must first have defined them in the Function Builder in the customer namespace (the name starts with Y or Z).
  • If you wish to assign your own classes and interface components, you must first have defined them in the Class Builder.

Standard settings

To display the assignments supplied by SAP use IMG activity Display System Settings for the Postprocessing Office.

Activities

  1. Choose an object type. The system displays both the object types supplied by SAP, and those defined by yourself, for you to choose from.
  2. Choose a method. The system displays both the methods supplied by SAP, and those defined by yourself, for you to choose from.

    If you choose an object type defined by yourself, you must also choose a method defined by yourself.

    You have the following options:

    • Specify your own function module or one supplied by SAP.
    • Specify a combination of class and interface component. You can specify both your own classes and interface components or those supplied by SAP.
    • Choose a BOR object type and specify a BOR method. You can specify both your own BOR object types and BOR methods or those supplied by SAP.
