Use

This document describes the activities you have perform to set up SAP Portfolio and Project Management workflows.

Requirements

Standard settings

Activities

  1. Maintain the Portfolio Management portal URL by choosing Define Web Server Alias. Perform the following steps:
    1. Choose New Entries.
    2. In the Web Server Alias column, enter the name of the logical system (LOGSYS) as maintained for the current client in the table T000.
    3. In the Web Server Address column, enter the address of the portal connected to this system or leave it blank.
    4. Save your entries.
    5. Select the entry you just saved and open the view Parameters for the Web Server of an SAP Transact.
    6. Choose New Entries.
    7. In the Parameter Name column, enter PORTALLINK. In the Parameter Value column, enter the URL of the portal connected to this system.
    8. Save your entries.
  2. Activate the workflow processes by choosing Activate Workflows.
  3. Define the workflow IDs by choosing Define Workflow IDs.
  4. Maintain the configuration for workflow recipients by choosing Maintain Configuration for Workflow Recipients.
  5. Trigger the workflow upon changes to attributes by activating the following Business Add-Ins (BAdI):
    • To trigger the workflow upon changes to attributes of an item, activate the implementation RPM_PROJ_CUST_WF of the BAdI definition RPM_PROJ_CUST_FIELDS. For more information, see Project Customer Fields.
    • To trigger the workflow upon changes to attributes of an initiative, activate the implementation INM_INITIATIVE_WF of the BAdI definition INM_INITIATIVE_O_BADI. For more information, see Initiative.
    • To trigger the workflow upon changes to attributes of a decision point, activate the implementation /RPM/DES_POINT_WF of the BAdI definition /RPM/DECISION_POINT. For more information, see Decision Point Object.

      You activate the implementations mentioned above with transaction SE19.
