Use
In this Customizing activity, you can override the default settings SAP delivers for the fields of specific Portfolio Management object types. These settings include the following:
- Field configuration, which influences the way in which the field values are processed by the backend system
- User interface configuration, which controls the way in which the fields are represented and processed in the user interface
You can add further fields from the supported structures or override the field attributes defined in the default settings by SAP.
By specifying an authorization activity in the Activity column of the user interface configuration, you can override the default field settings for a particular activity only, or create multiple entries for one field. As a result, the field will be handled differently, depending on the authorization of the user accessing the Portfolio Management object. For example, a particular field can be ready for input for a user with Admin authorization for this object, whereas it is read-only for a user with Write authorization.

In the Customizing activity Check SAP Field Configuration, check the default settings delivered by SAP.
Where necessary, override these settings by making the corresponding entries in the current Customizing activity.
You can also override the user interface configuration for individual portfolio types. For more information, see Customizing activity Define Portfolio Types under Portfolio Fields Override.
