Diagnosis
There are open credit items on the account for which debit interest is to be calculated and then posted to.
System Response
The system cannot calculate debit item interest.
Procedure
Carry out account maintenance and offset the open credit items with open receivables. Then you can calculate interest (see Contract Accounts Receivable and Payable menu: Account -> Interest -> Post).
